“Blogging platforms in general, and wordpress (my favourite platform) in particular, are technically optimised to be often visited and well indexed by search engines such as google.
In other terms, getting good rankings in search engines with blog articles is often easier than getting good results with “corporate” websites. Indeed, all you need to do is focus on what you write and how you write it.
Below is a screen capture of the wordpress interface for writing new articles.
In each section, I have described what was to be done to optimise the blog article to obtain good search engine rankings.
Overall, you need to keep in mind that you are writing for humans before you are writing for search engines. Write good content, use explicit and descriptive titles, link a lot and use tags for the keywords people might be interested in (people, technical terms, popular terms…)
This is the recipe for good natural search engine rankings for all your blog articles.
